I had never before heard about Elle, but was totally mesmerized by her appearance. There was something about her that rang so true. She was truly present.<\/p>\n<p>She talked about the difference between should and must. The quote below is from an article she published (https:\/\/medium.com\/@elleluna\/the-crossroads-of-should-and-must-90c75eb7c5b0#.vrc5wrv2f) :<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p id=\"460f\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">Should is how\u00a0<em class=\"markup--em markup--p-em\">others<\/em>\u00a0want us to show up in the world\u200a\u2014\u200ahow we\u2019re\u00a0<em class=\"markup--em markup--p-em\">supposed\u00a0<\/em>to think, what we\u00a0<em class=\"markup--em markup--p-em\">ought to<\/em>\u00a0say, what we\u00a0<em class=\"markup--em markup--p-em\">should<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0<em class=\"markup--em markup--p-em\">shouldn\u2019t<\/em>\u00a0do. It\u2019s the vast array of expectations that others layer upon us. When we choose Should the journey is smooth, the risk is small.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ad40\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\"><span class=\"markup--quote markup--p-quote is-other\">Must is different\u2014there aren\u2019t options and we don\u2019t have a choice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"6a09\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">Must is who we are, what we believe, and what we do when we are alone with our truest, most authentic self. It\u2019s our instincts, our cravings and longings, the things and places and ideas we burn for, the intuition that swells up from somewhere deep inside of us. Must is what happens when we stop conforming to other people\u2019s ideals and start connecting to our own. Because when we choose Must, we are no longer looking for inspiration out there. Instead, we are listening to our calling from within, from some luminous, mysterious place.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">When I heard her talk, the choice I was just facing became so amazingly simple to make.
